Support at CGE

At CGE, support is flexible, affirming, and shaped around the person seeking care. We recognize that people come to support with different needs, identities, and levels of readiness, and that healing does not follow a single path.

You don’t need to know exactly what kind of support you’re looking for. We’ll take time to listen and explore what might be helpful, together.

While our work centers 2SLGBTQ+ communities, our services are also open to people who currently identify as allies, are exploring identity, or are seeking affirming, inclusive support.

Our Services

2SLGBTQ+ affirming substance use assessments

Assessments at CGE are collaborative conversations, not tests. We approach substance use with care, curiosity, and respect for lived experience, recognizing that people’s relationships with substances are shaped by identity, safety, and context.

Assessments are one way to better understand what support might be helpful, not a commitment to ongoing services.

Outpatient and intensive outpatient support (youth & adults)

We offer outpatient and intensive outpatient support for 2SLGBTQ+ youth and adults navigating substance use and recovery. Care is grounded in affirmation, flexibility, and attention to individual goals and developmental needs.

Youth and adult services are offered separately, with age-appropriate groups and supports designed to reflect each group’s experiences.

Peer-informed and community-based support

Connection is an important part of healing. CGE offers peer-informed and community-based support that centers shared experience, mutual respect, and belonging.

Support may include peer services delivered by trained and credentialed peer specialists, alongside other affirming and community-based approaches.

This may include opportunities for connection, recovery-oriented gatherings, or support navigating systems and resources, always with attention to consent and choice.

Sometimes the most helpful support is figuring out what options exist, and what doesn’t feel right. CGE can support people in navigating care, referrals, and community resources, with attention to identity, access, and personal boundaries.

We prioritize collaboration and transparency, recognizing that systems can feel overwhelming or unsafe.

Care navigation and referrals

Support at CGE is not one-size-fits-all, and it doesn’t require certainty. We believe care should meet people where they are, honor their identities, and adapt over time.
